ErgoMethods Systems Approach™
set us apart from other ergonomic providers that focus primarily on alleviating a symptom of the problem, rather than the problem itself. ErgoMethods excels at training and mentoring teams in establishing an efficient and effective ergonomic process in government, service, manufacturing, industrial and office environments.

R³ Technique™
The R³ Technique uses an industry proven three step process for Identifying Ergonomic Risk Factors, Performing Root Cause Analysis, and Implementing Resolutions for identified risks.

Ergonomic Risk Factor Identification
ErgoMethods risk factor identification formula focuses on identifying risk factors which contribute to the development of musculoskeletal disorders. This process uses established research for the National Academy of Science to quantify risk. Teams are taught various analysis techniques and tool to quantify and cross-validate ergonomic risk factors.

Root Cause Analysis
ErgoMethods’ systems approach focuses on the connection of multiple components, not just a single symptom. Teams are taught to ask “Why” no less than five times. This goes back to ErgoMethods’ key phrase, “Target the Problem, Not the Symptom.” Individuals are taught to develop and utilize a “Problem Definition” to perform Root Cause Analysis and identify the true cause of the issues at hand.

Implementation of Resolutions
Individuals are taught several key elements essential to an effective ergonomic process:

“it doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be better!” is the phrase that is emphasized throughout the training and mentoring process.
Cost justification of ergonomic resolutions. Individuals are taught how to analyze and justify the implementation of ergonomic controls.
The evaluation of the effectiveness of the implemented resolution. Individuals at instructed ErgoMethods incorporates reliable, time tested assessment techniques, combined with a fail-proof algorithm to determine the proper assessment of the given situation.
